Budget?
[edit]Does anyone know the budget for this film? --Geracudd 03:01, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- IMDB's "Box office / business" page gives $13,000,000 (est) USD. I added it. If a more correct figure comes along, someone will update it. --EarthPerson 04:59, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Thank You. --Geracudd 14:17, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Box office earnings?
[edit]Doesn't this page need a section concerning box office earnings and reception? I think it's an essential part of the article, and that it needs to be added. 76.203.175.56 03:00, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
What reference does the editor cite when he says the protagonist is based on Brian Walker? I call for that line's removal! Roswell Crash Survivor 09:19, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- (Moved to the bottom of the talk page and made header)
- I have no idea, but it is an interesting tangent. I'd vote to move it under See Also, and to put back the link to Salvage 1 under that heading also. --EarthPerson 20:27, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
spoilers
[edit]in giving the plot is it necessary to give away the ending? can this be marked with a spoiler warning? i started watching this last night and thoroughly enjoyed it but still have thirty minutes left. unfamiliar with the director i came here to look up their history and in the plot details is the end of the movie not even being a little vague. this seems very common on this site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Citizenjamesford (talk • contribs) 18:31, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- yeah, because nobody could guess this plot unaided. - 128.174.36.220 02:56, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- If you don't want spoilers, maybe you shouldn't read sections called 'plot.' "Spoilers on the Internet are sometimes preceded by a spoiler warning. In Wikipedia, however, it is generally expected that the subjects of our articles will be covered in detail. Therefore, Wikipedia carries no spoiler warnings except for the Content disclaimer. It is not acceptable to delete information from an article about a work of fiction because you think it spoils the plot." Jim15936 and his plot holes
[edit]I do not believe the movie mentions the fuel he first intends to use, but he ultimately decides to use a mixture of hydrazine and kerosene not liquid H2. Kerosene is obviously easily obtainable, hydrazine is not so easy to purchase however it is not too difficult to synthasize from urea with proper knowledge of chemistry. I don't feel like getting into an editing war with Jim, if you are reading this Jim please make note, anyone else please fix this. Further the movie doesn't necessarily say the fuel is denied, they begin to investigate him as a result of his attempting to purchase it however so one would assume they stopped the sale. Are there plot wholes? Yes, but no more than many other movies. 65.2.78.99 (talk) 02:23, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
Additionally, and perhapse more importantly, these edits by Jim come off as very POV against the movie. I'm not saying that the plot weaknesses not be mentioned, but please clean them up into a less POV form. Also please don't take this as a personal attack, it is not intended as one, this is simply the user that is making the edits, it's nothing against you personally or the problems you point out, I just think they need a little bit of work in the POV department. 65.2.78.99 (talk) 02:38, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
