Ooh, what's this? A Boat Race article? Now there's a novelty... Thought I'd grab one for myself before they all go. Unsurprisingly you've got the format down to a tee so just a couple of minor suggestions for you:

  • "The umpire for the fifth year was old Etonian and former Cambridge rower Frederick I. Pitman who rowed in the 1884, 1885 and 1886 races" - can we avoid "rower... rowed"? And do we need Old Etonian? Hmm. Perhaps "For the fifth year, the umpire was Frederick I. Pitman, who had rowed for Cambridge in the 1884, 1885 and 1886 races"?
  • If you keep "Old Etonian" in this sentence, do you need to relink "Eton College" in the next section?
  • " before Kirby was struck down by jaundice, but rowed despite not having fully recovered." perhaps "and Kirby was struck down by jaundice, although he rowed [or took part in the race, to avoid another "rowed"?] despite not having fully recovered" - sentence doesn't quite scan as it stands.
  • You've probably answered this before, but should the college links be repeated when the table isn't sortable? (Echoes of my question to you earlier today!)
  • Images are fine, and etc etc for the other criteria. On hold for 30 seconds while you tell me I'm wrong. BencherliteTalk 10:48, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the review! Addressed, apart from the collegiate overlinking. It could definitely stand accused of WP:OVERLINK but aesthetically it appeals more to me to leave them all linked. Somewhat surprisingly, no-one has noted this thus far.... if it's a deal breaker, I'll unlink them (and then, when you're looking the other way, relink them.... mu hahahahahaha....) Yep, no big deal on the links. Nice work, of course, and a cinch to pass. BencherliteTalk 11:12, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, check out the rejection pending at Talk:The Boat Race 1893 though, not quite so cinch...! The Rambling Man (talk) 11:14, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
