Hostile tone
[edit]This page mentions the overall positive response to Freeman's arguments (without quoting any positive reviews) then proceeds to liberally quote a dozen or so dismissive academics' negative reviews in a generally slipshod survey of critical reaction.
To the unsigned above -The book was a work of biased polemic and sloppy research; even describing Freeman as a "classical historian" is too generous. Freeman holds no advanced degrees in the field, does not lecture or research at any accredited university nor publish peer-reviewed work in academic journals.Jonathan f1 (talk) 07:29, 15 July 2023 (UTC)
