Its lucky I looked at this page again soon after creating it, otherwise it might have been deleted without me knowing, with there being such short notice. (I am only an occasional contributor to Wikipedia so log in only when I need to). I do know that articles should not be too promotional, but this is a new organisation - though developed from a long established one - so secondary material is scarce. In fact the Origin paragraph was based on secondary historical material in the brochures. The article was intended to give background and context for anyone wanting to know about the Common Room now. It will develop as the organisation does and gets written about more.
However, I notice that, for example, the articles on Inderscience Publishers and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining have been similarly criticised for being promotional some time ago but have not been deleted, so the policy is not too clear to me.
I have now been able to find some secondary sources which have been added.
