Synopsis

[edit]

The line about Bill Gazarri doesn't belong in a synopsis of the film, as the event mentioned is not discussed in the film, but rather in David Lee Roth's autobiography. I'm going to change it to make reference to the dance contest that was featured in the film and was described as sexist.

Line removed "An interview with club owner Bill Gazzarri (deceased) who, according to David Lee Roth in his book "Crazy From The Heat", lured young girls to his club office to have sex while Roth watched. " --ThePaintedOne 14:10, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Influence Section

[edit]

The section on influence was sourced. There was a link to the VH1 documentary where this was specifically claimed with interviews. Obviously I can't link to the actual material as it would need to copied online which would be a copyright breach. But the claim is sourced.

However, the second section of the original piece was more speculative. I never heard this claim until recent years and was a fan of Glam Metal through its death throes. No-one at the time ever mentioned this film in connection with what was going on and I do think it spurious. But, that would classify as OR on my part so I've only restored the first half of the section and left out the piece about it not being discussed at the time.--ThePaintedOne 16:53, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone has re-added a comment to the effect that the claim of influnce is untrue. However, as with my original it is unsourced. I agree with the statement, but I think some sort of source is required or it will count as OR. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ThePaintedOne (talkcontribs) 20:03, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I see the OR comment has been removed again, which is probably correct. There was also a citation request put in for the first piece. I've re-worded it to make clear the claim made in the last sentance was taken directly from the VH1 documentary already mentioned and linked too. Without putting copyright material directly online, I can't see how this citation can be made any clearer than making reference to the show and linking to its official website.--ThePaintedOne 14:10, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added a second ref for this, plus a general sentance to try and address the often posted comments that this is inaccuate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ThePaintedOne (talkcontribs) 10:53, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
