Orphaned references in The Dying Earth[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of The Dying Earth's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "isfdb":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 00:21, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Were the sandestins seen or mentioned in this book?[edit]

I just finished reading this particular book and I don't recall the sandestins being seen or mentioned. Perhaps my memory is faulty, they appeared without that name, or their existence was inferred or implied, but if I'm right about this, then shouldn't they be removed the "Creatures of the Dying Earth" section of this article? Please let me know. --Thylacine24 (talk) 23:53, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Liane the Wayfarer[edit]

Has no-one else noticed that this character appears in two of the stories and dies under different circumstances in each one? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.28.132.199 (talk) 21:54, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed. But when he reappeared I always assumed that he was just badly wounded and somehow recovered after his first appearance. I don't think it's actually stated that he died, just described that he was (almost?) dying. Daranios (talk) 21:23, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
