The relationship between the manga and anime[edit]

My removed edit from June 9th 2023 that was archived has no source as no one in the English-speaking world bothered to document where which season stops. So I did it. Here is visual information for the finale of S1: https://randomc.net/2015/09/28/arslan-senki-25-end/ and S2: https://randomc.net/2016/08/22/arslan-senki-fuujin-ranbu-08-end/. These correspond to Volume 11 Chapter 70 and Volume 18 Chapter 107. A fan and an official translation are widely disseminated and will prove this claim immediately. The opening of S2 also overlaps with Volume 12 Chapter 71 but it would take the manga 3 more years to reach that chapter and until 2022 to reach the endpoint of S2. The anime stopped being a manga adaptation 1/3 or so into S1, never used the manga for S2 and used the source novels, in abridged form, instead. That had to be done as there was simply no manga for that material to adapt in 2015 and 2016: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Heroic_Legend_of_Arslan_chapters My source is thus the source material, both the manga and anime, and the release date of the manga volumes documented on this very site.

The main page for the novels further correctly sources which season used which novels: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Heroic_Legend_of_Arslan#cite_note-11 77.64.146.109 (talk) 07:39, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Those are unreliable self-published websites. The article of the original novel is a source of the same kind. Also, Arakawa's adaptation has its own article, so the info is unneeded there. Xexerss (talk) 07:45, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The anime stopped being an adaptation of the manga after chapter 19 of volume 3, its ending, which corresponds to the ending of episode 9. Some of the chapters that correspond to the plot in episode 10 might have existed by the time it was plotted but there are already differences in both mediums present and the chapters that correspond to episode 11 were all published after it aired. Every single episode from about episode 10 to the end of S2 is based on the novels with Arakawa proving original designs.
Here is further sourced proof that the anime overtook the manga during S1: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-04-09/arakawa-designs-heroic-legend-of-arslan-characters-for-anime-before-manga/.86952 77.64.146.205 (talk) 04:03, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That still doesn't confirm the other stuff that you wrote here. Xexerss (talk) 06:50, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
