Redirect this?

[edit]

I am going to propose to turn this page from a disambiguation one to a redirect to The Union (political coalition), as I think this is by far the most widely known meaning for "The Union". Do you agree this? --Angelo 23:37, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree. Appart from "the Union" being used a general term for any sort of coalition (trade union, etc) The Union was also one of the sides in the American Civil War. The current page works just fine. -- CHANLORD [T]/[C] 23:44, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree. "The Union" is Still used in the USA to discribe the country. Travis Cleveland 00:13, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree. "The Union" is used to describe many unions throughout history. Unions such as the United States (particularly in the Civil War), the United Kingdom (particularly with reference to the unionist side in the various independence debates), and the European Union, are very well known, much more so than this Italian political coalition. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.125.204.250 (talk) 01:59, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
