Merger proposal

I think it is prudent to merge both Thomas Beloat and Joseph Merrill (sheriff) into The United States of Lyncherdom. The individual pages contain little to no information of use outside of the original article for the poem. It seems excessive to create multiple pages for subjects that are adequately covered as is. Oppose Twain only mentions these two men in passing in the essay (not a poem). He doesn't even use their first names or mention their profession, presumably because they were famous enough at the time (1901) that readers would have known exactly who he was talking about. That and the various other sources, a few only added today, speak to them being independently notable. -- Kendrick7talk 20:05, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
