Isn't the origin of the name Ticehurst more likely to have some relationship with the River Teise?

[edit]This reference certainly agrees with the above query: saying it comes from the wood on the Tees (Teise). I'm always suspicious of these twee explanations: "where young goats graze" indeed! In addition the article falls into the trap between village and civil parish - the ref to the parish council actually gives the full title of the parish. And I am not sure why the opening sentence starts "Ticehurst is a relatively uncommon family name": I cannot see the relevance here. Peter Shearan (talk) 10:37, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
