This should possibly stand as its own page, as it is not really a correct name for multiple chemical sensitivity, and inclusion of TILT [1] as an alternate name for MCS has been rejected by editors on the MCS page https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Multiple_chemical_sensitivity&oldid=1045007321[2]

Researchers can not agree whether MCS is caused by chemicals or not [3], and TILT specifically implies the condition is caused by chemicals. Therefore, having TILT redirect to the page MCS is erroneous, especially when no mention of TILT is made on the MCS page.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I guess I'll just go ahead and clarify this! I feel it is important to stress that adding TILT to the MCS page was summarily struck down, so it doesn't make sense to have it redirect to the MCS page. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Multiple_chemical_sensitivity&oldid=1044964360 Silliestchris (talk) 07:10, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Should TILT refer to MCS page?[edit]

As made clear by other users on the Multiple Chemical Sensitivity page, TILT is not synonymous with MCS. It is a separate idea being discussed in research. However, they are similar. I do think it's important to have a separate page for TILT as they are different ideas, but they do bare some similarities. Does anyone think a hat referring readers to MCS as well is appropariate? Or should they be left completely separate?Silliestchris (talk) 07:25, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Another messy topic area with an ill-defined concept. A stub with one definition picked from 1997 is definitely not helpful. Leave the redirect in place and make any necessary further explanation at the MCS page per WP:NOPAGE. Alexbrn (talk) 07:26, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Great, you can use a search engine. Meanwhile, you are edit-warring. I have opened a thread at WP:FT/N. Alexbrn (talk) 07:33, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
