Hmm, I am pretty sure Zadnieprze in Polish refers to Left-bank Ukraine, as from the Polish perspective "beyond the Dniepr" is obviously "east of the Dniepr". Balcer 15:09, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I edited to reflect the meaning of the term in Ukrainian and Polish (Left-bank Ukraine rather than Right-bank Ukraine). Apologies for the lack of citations for the Russian meaning (Right-bank Ukraine) - I don't speak Russian so it's hard for me to find anything that makes a good wikipedia reference, but the Russian wikipedia page on Правобережная Украина (Right-bank Ukraine) gives Заднепровский край ("across-Dnieper country", which is essentially the same concept as Transdnieper) as a synonym, and the Russian wikipedia page on Поднепровье (Dnieper Ukraine) says "Занимает земли по левую (Приднепровье) и правую (Заднепровье) стороны Днепра" ("it occupies the left (Приднепровье) and right (Заднепровье - again across-Dnieper) sides of the Dnieper") so I'm fairly sure right-bank is the correct meaning in Russian (and I assume that's what the original version of this page came from).
