Talk:Transparent bridge
Appearance
Can any one give detailed description about why bridging is used in 802.16(WiMax).
I think this page has no extra value than the article about network bridging, other than the word 'transparent'. Maybe this article should be merged into the article about network bridging —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.165.163.122 (talk) 14:15, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
merge options
[edit]I suggest merging this article either into bridging (networking) or network switch. So there are 4 voting options:
- Merge to bridging (networking),
- Merge to network switch,
- Oppose merge or
- Neutral.

- I think the current article stinketh. A good encyclopedia article allows one to read a quick synopsis and understand the basics. This article does not do that. --Guest —Preceding unsigned comment added by 147.240.236.8 (talk) 17:20, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
- I support merge to bridging (networking). Plus I dot really know the difference from transparent bridge and repeater (except repeaters work bit-wise, not frame-wise). --Alvin-cs ✉ 13:19, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
