I would add dimensions for the data cartridge, but I don't have them to hand.

It looks like the density or track count is wrong for TR-7, but I don't have the real specs. -- Austin Murphy 02:31, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, TR-7 can utilize PRML which inflates the density number —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.248.39.221 (talk) 05:52, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures?

[edit]

I think some pictures of various catridges would be good.

Coin in pic?

[edit]

The pic looks good and the coin is good for scale. Question is, what kind of coin is it? It looks like a Euro or perhaps a US quarter. Either way, might be good to note in the image box. 207.195.244.215 (talk) 02:32, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New picture...

[edit]

It would be helpful if someone took a picture to add. The last one was deleted for lack of copyright information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.156.152.63 (talk) 22:41, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have several Travan cartridges. When I get a moment, I can take a picture of one and upload it to Commons. I'm thinking of adding a commonly recognized coin (US quarter?) or perhaps a CD-ROM next to it for perspective on the size. Surv1v4l1st (talk) 00:05, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I just added one. I used a CD-R as a means to show the size perspective as it will likely be more easily recognized than a coin. If there are any issues with the image, let me know. Surv1v4l1st (Talk|Contribs) 16:42, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Extended length tapes?

[edit]

I've found TR-1EX (500MB) and TR-3EX (2.2GB) tapes with higher capacities, but nothing similar for any other Travan number. Added them to the Travan table on Quarter-inch cartridge.

Release date of TR-5?

[edit]

Why no release date given for the TR-5? Surv1v4l1st (Talk|Contribs) 14:58, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why was TR6 skipped?

[edit]

Was it ever designed or was it just skipped for no reason? Bizzybody (talk)
