UNOS or μnOS? --Abdull 14:01, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First 32 bit microcprocessor?

[edit]

AFAIK, the motorola 68xxx was not the first 32 bit microprocessor. national semiconductor had a 32 bit mirocprocessor before motorala. the product line was not a huge commercial success, but did find it's way into at least one notable project, and was probably influential.

AT&T may also have had a 32 bit microprocessor before the 68xxx.

Why this strange name "MnOS"?

[edit]

The name of the OS is "UNOS" and I did never see a different name.... --Schily (talk) 09:52, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lack of reliable sources

[edit]

Aside from the (community-edited wiki) "Multics Significance" url, essentially none of the information in this topic has a reliable source TEDickey (talk) 19:42, 15 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
