DANFS

DANFS is useless as a reference as it contains a major blunder in year of inactivation which was 1959 by multiple sources, including Naval Historical Center's own write up, not 1958. Total content is:

Former name retained.
David C. Shanks (AP-180) was acquired from the Army on 15 March 1950 for transfer to Military Sea Transportation Service. In October 1958 she was placed in the National Defense Reserve Fleet.

Use of DANFS in this article is useless and misleading and removed. 71.178.17.34 (talk) 13:07, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
