What is this:

As of 1 September 1967 Knight is scheduled to be used as a target off San Diego.

I checked on Hazegray.org, and it's copied from the DANFS project there. The thing is, on the bottom of the DANFS page it says:

Reproduction, reuse, or distribution without permission is prohibited.

Does wikipedia have any kind of agreement with them? bjelleklang 23:13, 9 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Can you show me the exact URL where is says Reproduction, reuse, or distribution without permission is prohibited.? The thing about the DANFS is that all of its entries are technically public domain because they are produced by the United States Government. Wikipedia certainly has no special agreements, and the info that you posted above is just part of the ships entry in the DANFS, so since it is public domain, there is no problem with displaying it here. my guess is that someone else either on hazegray.com site, or another site might be claiming a copyright on their other material or images. But I assure you that these DANFS entries are public domain, and hence people cannot claim a copyright on this material. -- Malo 22:09, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
