Addit cites?
[edit]The reference for "Regardless of the final count, the sinking of the Arisan Maru still represents the greatest loss of American life in a single military sinking." seems unauthoritative to me. Can we get an additional citation on this being the greatest loss of American life in one sinking? RJFJR (talk) 18:44, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- This is sourced to a web site that does not look like WP:RS to me. But it is also mentioned at Hellships of World War II, which says "it remains the largest loss of American lives in a single disaster at sea" and cites Death on the Hellships: Prisoners at Sea in the Pacific War by Gregory Minchno.
- I have not found any single sinking, civilian or military, that resulted in more US lives lost, except possibly for Sultana. Kendall-K1 (talk) 19:13, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks to everybody for checking this. RJFJR (talk) 23:51, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
