The concept is not very popular, because these devices are manufactured only by one company: SONITOR Technologies AS, (www.sonitor.com), located Drammensveien 288, Oslo, Norway.

All literature available on the topic is released by or related to SONITOR.

They hold a patent for use of Ultrasound for localization purposes.

majority of SONITOR clients are private hospitals in Australia/New Zealand region, or so I was told by their Quality+approval engineer.
