This article states 'it is a crime' - OK but in which legal system, or are we to assume WP is always about the US?? Please specify--Doc (?) 20:21, 13 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am from India, and I would surely give a proper context to the contents of this page. I came here by clicking "Random article" --Bhadani 17:17, 22 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It clearly states US legal system, & even gives a specific state code. I agree it should be better written though. I am not familiar with the vagarities of this law, but I suspect it might be on a state by state basis (as to the particulars). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.159.166.52 (talkcontribs).

I came to this article after reading the following article in todays Sydney Morning Herald Article (smh.com.au) in which it mentions the man was charged with one count of fraud and one count of uttering. So I assume this law is not just US specific. Rissole 04:45, 5 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
