Hi, My name is Michelle I have a 03 saturn vue with the vti transmission in it. It has 103,000 miles on it. The transmission started to give me problems at 70,000 miles but they changed the fuild in it and he told me that they had to do something to it at 35,000 miles but it did better untill 97,000 miles then when i would stop and start to go it would jump really hard. I took it to the dealer and they told me they couldn't do any thing untill the check engine light came on. When it did they told me it was the engine control module. After that the car didn't jump any more, but on Oct. 25,06 I was going down the road with my three kids and I hear this noise like metel hitting together then my car wouldn't go. I had to call roadside. They took my car to the shop then I called around to find a transmission but everyone I talked to told me that they have seen alot of those transmission. Then Ilooked around on the net and found where you talked about the vti bands getting weak at 100,000 miles. I just want to know why your wranty wasn't for 100,000 to 110,000 miles. Having kids makes it hard to come up with the money to pay for a transmission. If so many vti transmission has been worked on then why don't you have a recall an these vti. I know that if you recall the vti that you will have to change out the moter or thats what I have been told because I asked if I could put a different transmission in this car because I love the vue but you know if you have bad luke with one that makes you hate that car and never buy that kind of car or any other car made by that some compeny. I was just wanting you to know. I would like to know if you could help me find a vti.
Thanks alot michelle
