We are creating this page as part of a school project at the University of British Columbia. This page is a work in progress. Sections may be incomplete, but this page will be continually worked on and completed by April 2017.
We are planning to incorporate the existing article Central Valley Greenway into this page, and create a redirect link on that page, once we are done.

BC Parkway addition?[edit]
Should this page also include a section on the BC Parkway? It is a major bike and pedestrian route which starts in Bridgeview, Surrey, travels along (below) the Expo Line before joining the Central Valley Greenway just north of Trout Lake. Thanks, Nelson Roy (talk) 06:34, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
Confusing term?[edit]
Am I the only one who finds the term "greenway" confusing? In Vancouver, these "greenways" are paved. In fact, the railroad right-of-way that formerly occupied the Arbutus Greenway was the site of many neighbourhood gardens, which were torn out for the paving. Wouldn't "grayway" or "asphalt-way" be more accurate? – AndyFielding (talk) 14:09, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- The term greenway is in the official name for the most prominent route in this network, the Central Valley Greenway. My guess is that it stems from the connection between the colour green and environmental sustainability, as walking and cycling are sustainable methods of transportation compared to driving.
