There is significant cross-over between this article and the Ultralight article, US ultralight is even written about in this article also. I'd suggest a merge. 202.78.155.23 (talk) 13:23, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think we're making a vocabulary confusion between *very* and *ultra*. Actually referring to quite different machines, for instance, there are VLA-class machines in France with a stall speed around 50kt (MCR sportster), while all ULA regulations require around 35kt stall speed. Did you keep a trace of the original very light aircraft article? «Le VLA était le précurseur du LSA américain et du ELA1 européen.» ˜˜˜˜
