Rebrand to "Victoria Park Village"?

I am doubtful about the supposed rebrand to Victoria Park Village, as there is very little online to support this.

This article from 2007 suggests the idea was once floated, and subsequently rejected: "we are not going to change the name to Victoria Park Village, it is going to be Victoria Park Markets. We thought, why would we want to rebrand it?".
The official VPM website and social media accounts are not rebranded, despite being active and up-to-date.
The only online evidence I have found of a rebrand was an event in August 2017. Which does include an updated 'VPV' logo, and links to (now dead) URLs for http://www.facebook.com/victoriaparkvillagenz and http://www.vpvillage.nz/ . This suggests that a rebrand may have been initiated at this stage, but was subsequently abandoned.

Further citations would be welcome, to clarify what happened with this rebrand. cc Anthony_Appleyard
