Was this explicitly motivated by antisemitism?

Is there any evidence that this massacre was explicitly motivated by antisemitism? The text seems to imply that this was a general act of imperialist oppression and retribution against the Ethiopians. Moreover, more than half of the victims were non-Jewish. It seems disingenuous to explicitly label the motivation as antisemitic, and even more so disingenuous to tie it to the Holocaust (the singular link in the "See More" section is "Holocaust outside of Europe"). The Holocaust committed by Germany and its collaborators is a supremely sensitive issue, and we should be very wary of tying in unrelated crimes against humanity. This was years before the Holocaust started in earnest in Germany, and does not seem to have outright antisemitic motivations. It is perfectly reasonable to mention the Jewish identity of the victims, but let's not conflate matters in relation to a sensitive topic. If anybody can find evidence of genuine antisemitic motivation, I would gladly retract my comment. 161.185.153.21 (talk) 16:29, 17 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
