"progressive"??[edit]

What does that even mean? Is politics designed to find solutions for yesterday and not always dealing with tomorrow, therefore "progressive" anyway? The term "progressive" sounds more like an euphemism for a socialist to communist ideology.

The term progressive is fairly well defined and does not really have anything to do with socialism or communism. Progressivism refers to a political philosophy based on the fundamental idea of progress in the fields of science, technology, economic development and organisation. For example, the Dutch party D66 is considered progressive.
