Template for this series?

[edit]

Should we make a template for this series, like how the Mario Party series has a template that lists all of its games? --Zircean 8 July 2005 16:20 (UTC)

Yes, yes we should. -- A Link to the Past 23:11, July 27, 2005 (UTC)

Index/Zukan

[edit]

I'm considering making a list of all of the microgames (with Japanese and English names) for each character in each WarioWare game. Yay or nay? The Trashman 20:20, 27 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I volenteer to help make a list with descriptions for all games, excepting Twisted. ~Keatsta

Probalby not. It would take up too much space. Cfive 21:20, 4 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Error

[edit]

"WarioWare is also the name of the official Nintendo third-party developer site."

This is not correct. warioware.biz is the website for the Wario Ware games. warioworld.com is the site in question.

Classification

[edit]

Before I read this article, I'd thought up a five-way classification system for the microgames (not counting boss and bonus games):

  • Accomplishment - the aim is simply to reach a certain goal
  • Survival - the aim is simply to survive till the end of the game's time
  • Pass/fail - by the time time's up, you'll have either passed it or failed it, but there's no such thing as having just not finished
  • Three-state - you can pass, fail or simply fail to pass
  • Final state - the state can switch between pass and fail, and it's a matter of which state at the end of time

You can consider it as a table of which states the game can be in at the moment time runs out:

Permanent fail Temporary fail Temporary pass Permanent pass
Accomplishment * *
Survival * *
Pass/fail * *
Three-state * * *
Final state * *

Of the games in the screenshots on WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! "Drive without crashing" is survival, "Shoot the UFO" is three-state and the other three are pass/fail (though you can blow "Catch the stick" in two different ways). The other two categories aren't among the screenshots, but examples of accomplishment include the one where you have to collect all the coins or the many where you have to just press A several times in succession. Final state games are less common, but I suppose they can include the spotlight one and one of the Anything Goes games.

There are also a few, such as the hurdles game, which could be thought of as survival or pass/fail depending on how you look at it. -- Smjg 19:23, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone make this article?

Problem with the WarioWare, Inc. article

[edit]

This page is confusing to users. If someone searches for Wario Ware they expect to see an article about the first game in the series or one about the series as a whole. To have their search term redirect to a page about a 'fictional company' that doesn't even warrant its own article is wholly counter-intuitive. This page should be re-created as an article about the Wario Ware series, which, after 5 games, it now deserves (other users have already expressed a desire to create a template for the series) this series-centric article can then have a paragraph describing the fictonal company. I came here to do just that. Other games which shouldn't have a series page do have one, there's more than enough reason to add one here. Coreycubed (talk) 14:48, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

is there such thing as a wario ware comic

[edit]

i heard that they are making a wario ware comic, is this true, i would like to know

Move?

[edit]

What's the point of having "series" in brackets in the article's title, when WarioWare redirects here. I suggest moving the article to simply "WarioWare". The Prince (talk) 01:52, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was probably done because warioware was originally a different article. I'd say moving this to warioware is a good idea though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.153.117.118 (talk) 21:18, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WarioWare: Balanced?

[edit]

Is there any actual source for this? This is the first I've heard of it, and... I typically hear about these things. --kaoskastle (Talk) 17:44, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind. Got a confirmation of its non-existence from Nintendo. --kaoskastle (Talk) 02:14, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just edited this now. There discussing it in the magazine. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimbo3000 (talkcontribs) 18:28, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
