[edit]The Scientific American article says ringwoodite is a sample of the transition zone material and "The ringwoodite is 1.5 percent water, present not as a liquid but as hydroxide ions (oxygen and hydrogen molecules bound together). " To infer all mantle / transition zone composition is therefore 1.5 percent is invalid synthesis. NE Ent 21:28, 1 October 2015 (UTC)
