Merge

[edit]

This article seems to have excessive overlap with Sustainable Development Goal 6, Water scarcity, and Water resources. If there's any new information in this article, perhaps it should be added to one of the more established articles and redirect the term "water risk" there? Schazjmd, yea I am wondering the same thing. I am currently working on water scarcity and can imagine merging this water risk article into there. EMsmile (talk) 02:08, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
With over 15,000 pageviews in the last 30 days, Water scarcity seems to be the term more readers look for than this stub that's had 62 views. I think readers would be better served by a more consolidated story. I don't know if we need a formal merger proposal – yours is the first response in 4 months, so if anyone else is watching this article, I guess they're indifferent to the question. If it fits in to your work on water scarcity, EMsmile, that would be great. Schazjmd (talk) 14:10, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Skimming through the situation I'd also say it'd be relevant (if not preferable) to merge them. This article, unless it receives a sudden revive, would be better off incorporated into the more active and high-priority water scarcity. I'm all up for it. OK, let's do it. Who has got time? Should be fast and easy. I'll put it on my to do list but if someone has time before me, then all the better. EMsmile (talk) 04:49, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done. EMsmile (talk) 02:46, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I feel it fits better within the article on Water security and have therefore changed the redirect. EMsmile (talk) 17:31, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
