seems odd to redirect this to NATO, it seems there was another alliance during the crimean war that actually used this name so it might be better to make this page about them. Joesolo13 (talk) 14:54, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. The glaring mistake here is that Japan is solidly within the Western Alliance, and yet it is not part of NATO. The western alliance includes Japan, Australia, South Korea, and arguably Taiwan. None of these countries are in NATO. Westwind273 (talk) 05:16, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
