Reviewing now. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 17:13, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Before the white-winged tapaculo's description, populations of tapaculos in the Cordillera de Colán belonging to the Magellanic tapaculo complex were thought to belong to the neblina tapaculo, whose type locality is close to the region. – This is hard to follow, and I think that terms such as "Magellanic tapaculo complex" need proper introduction and explanation.
  • The discovery of genetic data – Does genetic data have to be "discovered"?
  • The discovery of genetic data suggesting that the neblina tapaculo represented – "represented"? Is it extinct?
  • The discovery of genetic data suggesting that the neblina tapaculo represented two distinct lineages, as well as an individual of the Magellanic tapaculo complex with vocalizations unlike those of the neblina tapaculo, spurred further research into the taxonomy of this complex, resulting in the description of the white-winged tapaculo – again, had to read this several times, this needs some work in terms of prose.
  • A cladogram would be very nice.
  • clade, molts – need wikilink
  • 3.2–3.9 kiloHertz – "kilohertz"? And why not using "Hertz" as done earlier in the text; using the same unit makes these numbers easier to compare.
  • That's all from me. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 17:13, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
