Reform of the Gendarmerie
[edit]The most significant result was the creation of a Parliamentary Select Committee investigation, which after a complete denial of responsibility by Dutroux' handlers (including evidence they were fully aware what was going on), led to the dismissal of the top command of the Gendarmerie. Their replacements were drawn from within the Legal Services function of the Belgian Army, of which my line Superior had been Head. He was therefore deeply involved in mentoring them, and I was sucked in when a neighbour brought corroborative evidence to me supporting the wider concerns. I eventually ended up working for the Supreme Court judge responsible, which is why I'm only commenting: someone else should follow these pointers and post. 94.8.242.236 (talk) 14:50, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
