2006[edit]

The origin of the word is from Norman language, where wiket means "small door or gate." Cricket wicket took its name from a retail wicket, not the reverse. -- TheMightyQuill 12:16, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Usage[edit]

The text currently says: "This British term is not commonly used in North America and many other places." More precisely, "wicket" is not commonly used in the US — but it is used in Canada. Richwales (talk · contribs) 22:26, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
