Security Section

[edit]

I felt it made more since to create this section as the information I added didn't make since in the other sections.

Added voice-commands being disabled when the phone is locked. Moved the entry for complex passwords to this section from the messaging section as it made more sense to be listed here instead.Quilnux (talk) 16:33, 20 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Windows Phone 7.5Windows Phone 7.1 – This is not version 7.5, it has been called 7.5 by uninformed sites. Microsoft refers to it as 7.1 (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff637516(v=VS.92).aspx ) Symo85 (talk) 23:43, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Windows Phone 7.1Windows Phone 7.5 – Version 7.5 is the official marketing version that should be used for end-users, although app developers may still see internal references to the 7.1 internal version number. Websites that used the 7.5 version were not misinformed, as the previous move request suggested. [1][2] Bovineone (talk) 04:18, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I concur with Bovineone, Windows 7.5 should be the page name, the original move request to 7.1 was pre-mature and never should have happened. 71.65.75.151 (talk) 15:43, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article reads like marketing material

Also, the operating system has many problems, like frequent crashes, freezes and bricking any phone with this OS through an SMS message innocuously composed with some special characters. Including such an operating system has had an adverse effect on phone manufacturers who have put this in their phones and carriers who don't update after a fix has been released. -Mardus (talk) 05:29, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
