Python code example
[edit]Are we sure that the Python code example is relevant here? It seems out of place between a toy example of winsorizing and the concept of trimming. Also, describing an algorithm instead of showing a built-in function in a specific Python library might be more instructive. It would be enough to mention that there exist built-in functions for this in multiple programming languages (Python, R, possibly also others). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stanmart (talk • contribs) 12:25, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Winsorizing or Winsorising? I think the choice should be consistent with the article Winsorized mean. Btyner (talk) 21:35, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
- I think the MOS says that the original variant of English that an article was written in is the one to continue using, which favours winsorising. Personally I use -ise not -ize but the global tide is probably against me and countries where this is still common. Tayste (edits) 00:03, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
