Hope you don't mind, but I made some edits to your edits in the Plot section. The major one was to the move of Will's assignment, since the new placement had it after Sam asked Mercedes, when in actuality he asks her right after Will makes the assignment (and is calling it romantic, hoping it gives him an opening with her). I'd also cut Emma's parents while trying to shorten the section, but as you brought them back, I restored a bit of my wording (the "blessing" bit). Thanks for being patient with me!
