This was made specifically so that we wouldn't have a Catch-22 linkage between Eddie (Guilty Gear) and Zato-1. I felt vaguely stupid when I saw that, to be honest. Yar Kramer 03:55, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I'd prefer to have a picture of Eddie/Zato-1 from GGXX, but I don't have one handy, so I'm using a GGX picture for now. (To be honest, it looks better than his GGXX profile picture.) RTL 28 June 2005 04:47 (UTC)

Okay, I found a picture of Eddie and Zato-1 from XX. Is there a preference here for having the XX picture over the X picture? If there is, I'll put it up, but if not, I'll leave it as is. RTL 1 July 2005 00:16 (UTC)
No pref here. --Yar Kramer 1 July 2005 02:48 (UTC)

Gameplay

[edit]

I think the Gameplay section needs revision. First, it contains some fighting game jargon that a non-fighting-game-player wouldn't understand; and second, it's a bit too detailed, and seems closer to being an FAQ for players of the game than an encyclopedia for literally everyone. --Yar Kramer 17:30, 9 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Music references

[edit]

Uh, at one point it's claimed he's named after Iron Maiden's mascot, at another that he was named after Eddie Van Halen...

It's probably meant to imply multiple possibilities, but yeah, it's probably a good idea to be clearer on that ... --Yar Kramer 23:41, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anime Mecha Reference

[edit]

Eddie has a move called Drill Special, in it he says "Maha Dorii [Mach Drill], this is a nod to an old mecha series in Japan by the name of Kotetsu [Iron] Jeeg, where the main protagonist uses a pair of Drills and flies into the opponent saying "Mach Drill". Mimeblade 17:50, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
