The Tallahassee Food Festival is an annual community food event held in the fall in Tallahassee, Florida. The 2011 event is being held on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center.

About

The Tallahassee Food Festival brings together food-related businesses and industry organizations to celebrate the local food culture. Food types found at the festival include barbecue, Southern cuisine, ethnic dishes (including Greek, Japanese, Chinese, French and Italian foods), breakfast dishes, beverages, desserts and much more. Past celebrity chefs have included Mayor John Marks, City Commissioner Gil Ziffer, weather personality Casanova Nurse and television host Greg Tish.

Components of the event include two stages on which celebrity cook-offs and eating contests are held, a Kid's Kitchen, cooking classes, an indoor tailgate area, Farmer's market and gourmet dining area.
