Construction plans for the future Southwest Transitway Extension.

Tallwood Station is the name of a future Transitway station in Ottawa, Ontario,[1] adjacent to Tallwood Drive. The station is part of Phase 1B of the Baseline Station / Southwest Transitway Expansion project. Construction on the station is set to begin between April and November 2010.

The station will be adjacent to the new grade-separated transitway, and will likely require a tunnel underneath Tallwood Drive, as part of the construction includes storm sewer and watermain relocation.[2] The station will also include an exit from the Transitway extension to Tallwood Drive for local buses or buses that currently travel to/from Baseline Station via Meadowlands Drive, such as routes 84, 86 and 111.

The station is also expected to be served by routes running along Woodroffe Avenue, including routes 82, 83, 84, 94, 95, 174, 187, 270(PM), 271(PM), 272(PM), 273(PM), and 277(PM)

*UPDATE: September 18th, 2017*

Construction for Tallwood Station has never begun, suggesting that either the plan for the station was scrapped, or it's being saved for phase 2 of LRT with the Baseline station conversion which is expected to be completed by 2023.
