Tamil Nadu Makkal Congress (Tamil Nadu People's Congress), is a political party in Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded in 1997 by the dissident Congress leader Vazhappady K. Ramamurthy who quit the party to float his own. This further weakened the local Congress party in the state.
