Tasila Mwale (born c. 1984)[1] is a Zambian singer/songwriter.

According to Mwale's own account she got her start as a singer at an early age. She was an active member of the Scripture Union singing group at her school.

Tasila first came to the public eye when she won the Zambian version of the Pop Idol competition, 'MNet Idols Zambia'.[1][2]

As an award for her performance she signed a one record recording contract with Zambian music label Mondo Music Corporation.[1] The result was her debut album Uchi (meaning "honey").[2] This album featured collaborations with several established Zambian musicians including Ballard Zulu, Joe Chibangu, and Black Muntu.[2]

Soon after the release of her album she announced that she would be taking time off her music career to return to school.

As of May 2006 Tasila is working on her next album.
