The Taunggyi Bird Sanctuary, is a protected area of wetlands in the Shan Hills, Burma. It is located near Taunggyi and is governed by the Burma Forest Department. The level of protection is unknown. The altitudes within the reserve range from 1,045 to 1,750 m

It was established in 1906 as the Taunggyi Wildlife Reserve and was redesignated as a Bird Sanctuary in 1989. The main purpose of the reserve is habitat conservation of the resident bird species and the dry hill forest ecosystem.[1]
