This is a documentation subpage for Template:Cite Greek law. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Usage
[edit]This template allows for the easy citing and linking to of laws of the Hellenic Republic . It cover laws (νόμοι, statutes) that are recorded on the National Printing House (Ελληνικό Τυπογραφείο) website search page as well as links to the Government Gazette (Greece) (Εφημερίς της Κυβερνήσεως) www.et.gr It should not be substituted. For the constitution, presidential decrees, ministerial decisions, and multi-ministerial decisions, please use their respective separate templates. For a guide to Greek legal citation practices, consult NYULS Guide here[1]
To do
[edit]Ideally we can figure out how to automatically link to each law. It appears that each law is indexed individually on et.gr, even though multiple laws appear on each issue of the Government Gazette. The URI index looks something like:
http://www.et.gr/api/DownloadFeksApi{Asep/Kad/Nomoi}Small/?fek_pdf={year}{3-bit-code}{issue-in-4-digits} for the 1-page Gazette overview, and http://www.et.gr/api/DownloadFeksApi{Asep/Kad/Nomoi}/?fek_pdf={year}{3-bit-code}{issue-in-4-digits} for the full law.
where |issue=
would refer to the issue of the Gazette the law or document appears in, which is non-exclusive and would not be apparent from any original documentation. In between |year=
and |issue=
is what appears to be 3 bits which I think encode as Asep=100, Kad=110, and Nomoi=010.
Also the URL depends on which search you use, though the pdf seems identical for both. For the first types, the results look like
http://www.et.gr/api/Download_Small/?fek_pdf=20140100278 for the 1-page Gazette overview, and http://www.et.gr/api/DownloadFeksApi/?fek_pdf=20140100278 for the full law.
For this example we used Π.Δ. (Presidential Decree) 175, ΔΙΟΡΙΣΜΟΣ ΥΠΟΥΡΓΟΥ ΕΣΩΤΕΡΙΚΩΝ (Appointment of Minister of Interior), Dated 31/12/2014, Published 31/12/2014 in issue 278 of 2014 (and conveniently in the same issue is Π.Δ. 174: Acceptance of Resignation of the Minister of Interior), page 8359.

Example
[edit]{{ cite Greek law | law = 309 | art= 2 | clause=2 | date = 1976-04-30 | en = Concerning the organisation and administration of General Instruction | el = Περὶ ὀργανόσεως καὶ διοκήσεως τῆς Γενικῆς Ἐκπαιδεύσεως | url = http://e-library.iep.edu.gr/iep/collection/curricula/item.html?tab=01&code=1976-100A }}
The above example will display as:
N. 309 Art. 2 (2) Περὶ ὀργανόσεως καὶ διοκήσεως τῆς Γενικῆς Ἐκπαιδεύσεως [ Concerning the organisation and administration of General Instruction] of 1976-04-30
An alternative citation is FEK 100/30.04.1976, Tefchos A; or simply 1976-100A. To implement later: page number (pp. 641-664(663?)); quote ("Os Neoelleniche glossa noeitai ...")
Testing all params (except language and url -- both unspecified will result in "in Greek" appended to the end):
{{ cite Greek law | law = 309 | art = 2 | clause=2 | date = 1976-04-30 | en = Concerning the organisation and administration of General Instruction | enab = CGI | el = Περὶ ὀργανόσεως | elfull = Περὶ ὀργανόσεως καὶ διοκήσεως τῆς Γενικῆς Ἐκπαιδεύσεως | elab = Π.Γ.Ἐ. | year = 1999 }}
N. 309 Art. 2 (2) Περὶ ὀργανόσεως καὶ διοκήσεως τῆς Γενικῆς Ἐκπαιδεύσεως Περὶ ὀργανόσεως – Π.Γ.Ἐ. [ Concerning the organisation and administration of General Instruction (CGI)] of 1976-04-30 (in Greek)
