Template:Cite Oregon Geographic Names/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Purpose

[edit]

Provides an easy way to cite the book Oregon Geographic Names.

Usage

[edit]

Just add {{cite Oregon Geographic Names}} (or one of its simpler redirects, such as {{cite OGN}} or just {{OGN}}). State the edition and page number, and the template does the rest for you. If all the links are undesirable, use the |links=off parameter (example below).

Examples

[edit]

{{OGN|7th|page=100}} yields:

McArthur, Lewis A.; McArthur, Lewis L. (2003) [1928]. Oregon Geographic Names (7th ed.). Portland, Oregon: Oregon Historical Society Press. p. 100. ISBN 978-0875952772.

While {{OGN|1st|pages=100–101}} yields:

McArthur, Lewis A.; McArthur, Lewis L. (1928). Oregon Geographic Names (1st ed.). Portland, Oregon: Binfords & Mort. pp. 100–101. OCLC 10500385.

And {{OGN|1st|pages=100–101|links=off}} yields:

McArthur, Lewis A.; McArthur, Lewis L. (1928). Oregon Geographic Names (1st ed.). Portland, Oregon: Binfords & Mort. pp. 100–101. OCLC 10500385.
