Jag är för tillfället mycket fredlig och är min familjs glädje. Alla tidningar hafva bränts oöppnade och min hustru har läst min post. Men det har ändå sipprat fram att man behandlat mig som "en canaille". Jag har kämpat som en karl för att icke vilja slå igen, men reser den 11 januari till Neuchatel för att höra lammen bräka och bli ändå snällare. Jag är nog ond ändå, så att förfårad blir jag ej.
