Template:DYK stats table multi begin/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This produces the first row of a multi-hook entry in a table at WP:DYKSTATS.

Usage[edit]

{{DYK stats table multi begin|Article title|Number of articles|File name|DYK date|Views|Views per hour|Hook|b=Background views}}
  • Article title: Full title of the article, with no wikitext
  • File name: If the hook had an image, its filename goes here—again, no wikitext, templates, or the file handler, just the file name with its extension. Leave blank if none; no space, just blank!
  • Number of hooks: The number of bolded articles in the hook.
  • DYK date: The date the article appeared on DYK—note that if you are looking from WP:Recent additions, the DYK date is the date atop the set that was before the hook ran, since hooks are archived by when they are taken off the main page.
  • Views: The number of views this particular article got, not including any other articles in hook—make sure to subtract any background views if necessary.
  • Views per hour: The previous value, divided by the number of hours the hook was on the main page.
  • Hook: Full text of the hook, with any relevant wikitext.
  • Background views: If there are latent views from previous days (usually determined by averaging the two days prior to the DYK date), include them here—the template will show a footnote.

Example:

{{DYK stats table|

{{DYK stats table multi begin|Engineers' Club Building|2|W 40 St Sep 2021 65.jpg|2021-11-12|4,129.5|344.1|... that the '''[[Engineers' Club Building]]''' ''(pictured)'' and '''[[Engineering Societies' Building]]''' in New York City were described in the mid-20th century as "the engineering crossroads of the world"?}}

{{DYK stats table multi|Engineering Societies' Building|2021-11-12|1,639.5|136.6}}

{{DYK stats table multi total|5,769|480.8}}

}}
