The permissions is, by default, fair use since it is most likely a screenshot of a copyrighted work (licensed under {{tv-screenshot}}). If otherwise, the permission option can be passed to specify something other than fair use.
Syntax description
[edit]- Series
- This is the television series that this image is of. The template italicizes but does not make a link.
- Episode
- This is the television episode that this image is of. The template double-quotes but does not make a link.
- EpNumber
- This is the episode number (e.g., 604, 201, 312)
- Time
- (OPTIONAL) This is the time in the episode in which the screenshot is taken. This includes the title sequence, credits, etc. but excludes commercials.
- Description
- What is being shown in the image? Why is this screenshot needed/used? The description should be clear enough for a fair use rationale.
- Source
- This is the source of the screenshot. If it was taken from a website then the link to the page and the image should be included here for future reference. If it was taken by a person and/or the uploader then their username should be here instead.
- Copyright_date
- This is the copyrighted/released date of the work. The purpose of this date is to allow determination in the future when fair use is no longer needed and the image enters the public domain.
- Screenshot_date
- Date of creation of the screenshot.
- Author
- This is the author of the work, not the uploader or the creator of the screenshot.
- Permission
- The general assumption is that this screenshot is of a copyrighted work and to avoid redundancy this field defaults to "Fair use". If the image is not fair use then provide what permission/license it is used under.
