Template:Link one way/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Template:Link one way creates a one-way link to another page, such that the originating page does not appear in Special:What links here.

This may be useful in link-boxes so that all the articles pointed out of the link-box do not point to each other. Otherwise it is very time-consuming to find which articles really (in the main body of their text) link to your article, as opposed to articles which mention you in their link-box.

Usage

[edit]
  • Replace a link: [[Foo bar]] with {{Link one way|Foo bar}}
  • Replace a piped link: [[Foo bar|useful foobar article]] with {{Link one way|Foo bar|useful foobar article}}
