Template:NZ officeholder data/doc

Usage

This template is to supply uniform, up-to-date officeholder data for New Zealand articles. It functions similarly to Template:NZ population data and Template:NZ school roll data.

The aim is to update after each general election, local election and by-election.

Syntax

{{NZ officeholder data|Far North District Mayor|y|y|y|a|b}}

The template has four main parameters:

1. Position = Name of position (eg. Far North District Mayor, Northland MP)
2. show holder = shows the person holding the role
3. show date = shows the date the template was last updated (e.g. November 2023).
4. unused - intended to show references but there is no suitable reference covering all the positions
5. title pre= inserts text between the name and the date (e.g. "mayor as of", open bracket, etc.).
6. title post= inserts text between the date and the reference (e.g. a full stop, close bracket, etc.).

Leaving a show parameter empty results in that value being hidden.
