Usage
[edit]When relisting an RfD discussion:
- Open the discussion section for editing
- Copy the original discussion, including the section header
- Open today's RfD log page for editing in a new browser tab
- Paste the discussion at the top of the page, right below " Add new entries directly below this line."
- Place {{subst:XfD relist}} at the bottom of the discussion (see Template:XfD relist for usage specifics)
- Note in the edit summary that you are relisting the discussion
- Save today's RfD log page
- Replace the original discussion with {{subst:Rfd relisted|Name of discussion section heading}}
- Do not remove the section heading of the old discussion
- For discussions involving multiple redirects, non-visible anchors may also be kept
- Note in the edit summary that you have relisted the discussion, and consider linking to the new log page
- Save the original discussion section
- Notes
- In all cases where the page name is omitted, the page for the current date is assumed.
- If the section heading is omitted, the template fails gracefully (i.e., the link simply points at the log page with no trailing '
#
').
